Our pupils are dedicated, committed, enthusiastic, and hard working. It’s an energetic and vibrant atmosphere – and that is something that quickly rubs off on new pupils.
Boarding at Tring Park School gives children a head start in developing invaluable life and social skills in a nurturing, family environment. Our day pupils also benefit from the boarding culture; all pupils study, perform and socialise together during the school day.
We’re proud that our students have a place where they can share a passion for the performing arts and integrate with other pupils from around the world.
Catering
All pupils are required to attend meals at the designated time, with the exception of tea in the afternoon which is optional.
Day pupils may attend breakfast and supper for a small additional charge if arranged in advance with the day Housemistress.
Lunch, with a choice of meal options including hot food, vegetarian and vegan meals, baked potato or pasta bar and salads, is provided for all pupils, the cost of which is included in the fees.
Our dedicated catering team at Tring Park is committed to providing varied and balanced menus for our pupils, all of which are made from scratch using fresh ingredients. We have a three-week menu cycle which changes each term.
Breakfast and supper are also included for boarding pupils. For breakfast, we offer cooked food and a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice and ample supplies of toast and hot drinks. On selected Sundays, we also have brunch, when pupils are treated to a full English breakfast.

Boarding at Tring Park
Pupils have the option to experience life at a private boarding school from age 9 to 18. Around 60% of our pupils are boarders. Accommodation is arranged by age and gender and boarders live in one of three onsite houses, each with its own unique character.
Each house is led by a full-time residential Senior Housemistress/master who heads up a team of residential and non-residential pastoral staff. These houseparents’ work hard to provide a caring and nurturing environment within the boarding houses in order to create a ‘home from home’ for our boarders.
Day Pupil Experience
Our day pupils arrive at school around 7:45am for registration Monday to Friday. Lower School pupils finish lessons at 4:35pm. Middle and Upper School finish lessons at 6:30pm.
Day pupils also get to enjoy various activities throughout the year that take place during the school day. Most recently we have had theatre trips, BBQs, ice cream vans, fun fair with rides and prizes, school discos and an ice skating rink; and of course we have our infamous Tring Park sports day, bonfire night and Christmas party!
Weekend Activities
In addition to the well-equipped common room facilities, there are plenty of after-school activities for boarders at Tring Park. After Saturday morning prep, our pupils have the opportunity to take part in craft workshops and, of course, there is the ever-popular weekly tuck-run to the local supermarket for our younger pupils. Boarders can take part in activities such as shopping trips into London, bake-offs, cinema trips, theme parks, sports activities… you name it!
Weekends are an opportunity to relax after a busy schedule of academic and vocational study, but we do offer a full programme of activities for those who wish to keep busy.
Facilities
In addition to the well-equipped common room facilities and teaching spaces, we have modern studios, a theatre and a dining hall renovated in August 2021.
We have an ongoing commitment to upgrade our facilities and boarding spaces.
