Working with Tring Park’s highly experienced teachers and industry professionals, participants will enjoy five days of live performance, ensemble skills, songwriting and music production!
The residential course will provide opportunities for young people to broaden their music experience, develop their artistry and craft, and share their enjoyment of music-making with others whilst connecting with new like-minded new friends. The course will give participants insight into the training on the Commercial Music Course at the school.
The course is open to all instrumentalist and vocalists; however, participants must be of grade 3 standard (minimum) on their main instrument.
Evening activities are provided. Meals are provided for all pupils. Pastoral and student helpers are on-site at all times to assist the teaching staff and to ensure that everyone has a great time. Parents are invited to watch a presentation of work on the final day of the course.

Courses will close on the advertised closing date (usually 4 weeks before the start of each course).
You’ll receive information four weeks before the course takes place. This includes details of required clothing, footwear, and items for those who are boarding such as bedding and toiletries.
Yes – including a choice of hot food with a vegetarian and vegan option, puddings and fruit. We are happy to cater to all allergies and dietary requirements.
Boarders eat all meals in our dining hall and day pupils are provided with lunch and afternoon tea. Day pupils who wish to stay for dinner are permitted to do so if staying for evening activities (at no extra cost!). Notice of intention to stay for evening meals must be given one week before the course commences.
Dormitory sharing requests may be made on application, however they are not guaranteed. This is due to legalities surrounding age groups and the configuration of ages and genders on the course. We do endeavour to accommodate as many requests as possible. Participants will be informed of their allocated dormitory on arrival.
Boarders are required to arrive at 4pm on the first day of the course, with day pupils arriving the following morning. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate early arrivals.
All pastoral staff are experienced within caring for young people and are appropriately trained. In addition, medical staff are available in the medical centre during class hours.
Class groups are allocated via age and the information on the application form so please ensure that you are as accurate as possible when applying (include relevant experience, grades and exam boards where possible). Great care is taken to place each participant in the correct group for the course. All groups may be assessed on the first day and may be subject to change at the discretion of the Course Coordinator.
