5th Form Post Exam Activities

The 5th Form Post Exam Programme has begun with a special visit to Amaravati, a Theravada Buddhist monastery situated at the eastern end of the Chiltern Hills near Great Gaddesden. The 5th Form have also been looking at the issues surrounding young drivers.

Youth Speaks Teams Triumph

This month has seen both the Junior and Senior Youth Speaks teams competing in the District Semi Finals, with both teams achieving 1st place!

Chinese New Year Celebrations

The Chinese New Year 2016 is fast approaching, commencing on Monday 8 February 2016.  Grace Chan has provided us with an excellent summary of this colourful celebration as well as some advice on celebrating the Year of the Monkey.

The 2nd Form have recently been considering the issues of prejudice, intolerance and discrimination in our society. The group have been looking at how people have overcome challenges and push everyday boundaries.

Doom Paintings - 1st Form History

This term the 1st Form will be exploring society's relationship with the Church during the Middle Ages. As part of this work the class examined 'doom paintings' and created their own images for prep.

Youth Speaks Success

On Wednesday 18th November, three teams participated in the Berkhamsted and Bulbourne local round of Rotary Club Youth Speaks competition.

Book Buzz - Junior English

1st and 2nd Formers have had the opportunity to choose a book from 'Bookbuzz' a reading programme from Book Trust.

First Aid Skills - 3rd Form PSHE

Through a range of online resources provided by both the St John’s Ambulance and Red Cross, the 3rd Form have been building up skills, knowledge and understanding of what needs to be done in a range of emergency situations.

Hier Soir - 2nd Form French

The 2nd Form have been studying the past tense in the French lessons, practising both regular and irregular verbs. This work culminated in the 2nd Form producing mind maps in groups, explaining what they did the evening or week before.
