Catch Me If You Can Musical rises again

Alumni Jake Small stars in ArtsEd's Catch Me If You Can

Mark Shaiman and Scott Whittman's (of Hairspray fame) musical based on the Scorsese film with the title role played by Leonardo di Caprio as the fraudulent Frank Abagnale Jr received a great review from theatre critic Mark Shenton who writes:

"I saw the original Broadway production twice, and loved its brassy score and glitzy presentation, but last week the third year students at ArtsEd staged Catch Me If You Can’s UK premiere and I saw a different show: bold, confident and driven, as it portrays the cat and mouse game being played by an FBI detective and a fraudster with multiple identities...........the thrill of seeing an ensemble of such outstanding quality.

There’s a break-out star performance from Jake Small as the fraudulent Frank, who captures all the charisma but also the churning anxiety of one of life’s chancers. In the process, he is every bit as good as Aaron Tveit who originated the role on Broadway".
