Kick Start - Boys' Programme 2016-17
Are you a young male dancer wanting to train with other male dancers?
Do you want to enter the performing arts industry?
Do you want to audition for vocational training?
If the answer is 'yes' to any of these questions you can come and learn from a predominantly male faculty with a focus on technique, physical strength training, creativity and performance.
You will receive three classes in each session:
- Classical ballet technique
- Jazz technique
- Variety class which will include contemporary, street dance, singing, drama and music
Seniors and invited intermediate dancers will receive a 45 minute training session including:
- Upper body training
- Stretching and fitness exercises
Owing to the popularity of this course students are now going to take part in a taster day for us to ascertain the viability of their training. This taster day is charged at £20, the cost of one session of Kick Start, and involves taking part in a normal Kick Start day.
Please register for the next session where the dancers will be assessed on physical suitability, discipline, current aptitude and potential. Students who are successful will then be given access to a second online form in order to pay the balance for the years training.
Please register for assessment with the form below.
NB. Regular attendance, discipline and application are essential for participation in Kick Start. The Course leader reserves the right to remove students from the course if behaviour and/or attendance is not maintained in which case fees will be forfeited.
Kick Start is held on three Sundays per term and is intended as a supplement to dance classes you already attend.
Age: 8 - 16
